2019 was a good year for us here at Team6ix, with a range of interesting and diverse global projects.

We supported a fantastic global company, deploying it's recently purchased global DAM and Approvals platform. The project initiated in late 2018, ramped up in early 2019 as it moved through initial stakeholder engagement and requirements phases, and into global market activation across four regions in the second half of 2019.

It was a complex program, with many strands, dependencies and a large stakeholder group including global and local / in-market stakeholders, alongside multiple external partners, suppliers and agencies.

We engaged deeply with our client and managed the demand & requirements workstream (change requests, configuration updates and new feature deployment), the training and implementation workstream and on-going support.

Our client has a fantastic cross-functional and agile internal team who we partner with across workstreams, and additionally the technology partner have been integral to the success of the program. It was great to work with such talented individuals, with can-do-approaches all round - we achieved a lot with small focused group and the program is now delivering outstanding value.

We also worked closely with a number of companies in the supply-chain as well, assisting them in optimising and implementing their technology strategies, supporting product development of own or integrated technology solutions, and helping companies set-up for success. I'm always delighted to work with internal development and product teams, as I get a lot of satisfaction in product-development, technology operating model transformation and product-strategy engagements - this area being so close to my own background.

However what never ceases to amaze me is the sheer breadth and depth of knowledge that exists within the supply chain - in particular within agency, design and production execution partners. Often I find the design-thinking and solution-thinking that has been embodied into well developed internal technologies within such companies is on another level compared to equivalent technology, which is commercially available from pure technology vendors.

Naturally there is a place for both approaches to support brands and direct clients, as rarely does a global brand client need or have a single technology solution these days - the smart supply chain vendors who make their own technology are now looking towards partnerships and strategic integration opportunities with technology vendors in 2020 with renewed focus.

For Team6ix it's been a great year to reconnect with a number of fantastic supply chain companies who are developing truly great technology solutions - 2020 is going to be very interesting year!

We ended the year on a real high, engaging with several new clients and opportunities, and the last quarter also saw the additional of several new team members joining us. All in all we're pretty excited about the year ahead, and fortunate to be providing services to some truly great clients and technology partners, supported by a fantastic and committed team of consultants here at Team6ix - we are looking forward to 2020 and the continuation of our journey very much!
